German ForeignMin Maas: ‘US is not an enemy, but our most important partner and ally’

Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas took to Twitter to comments on the US-EU trade issue, by saying:

“For me, the US is not an enemy, but our most important partner and ally outside the EU. America is bigger than the White House. Trump will not change that either because he can tweet as much as he wants.”

Last hour, European Union’s (EU) Budget Commissioner Guenther Oettinger noted that he hopes the EU could try to seek a wide reduction of tariffs in negotiations with the US this year.grma
